A STORY OF SEEDS
Hemp Production: Quality and Commitment
Our crops come from hemp seeds registered in the European catalog of certified seeds, ensuring a THC content of less than 0.3%, a stricter threshold than in other countries. Our hemp is grown without pesticides or irrigation.
The seeds are harvested at full maturity and under optimal weather conditions by our producers, who are aware that their production will be compensated based on its quality (humidity, purity, proportion of immature seeds).
Using high-performance equipment, analyses (oleic acidity, peroxide index, humidity, impurity levels) are carried out as soon as each batch is delivered, allowing us to determine whether the seeds are directed towards human or animal consumption (birdseed, fishing).
HUMAN CONSUMPTION
Development of Hemp Seed Consumption for Human Food
The consumption of hemp seeds for human food is experiencing significant growth, replicating the success achieved in North America and Asia with oil, shelled seeds, protein, flour, and other dietary supplements (Omega 3, Omega 6, Vitamin E, Amino Acids).

ANIMAL FEED
Use of LA CHANVRIÈRE Hemp Seeds for Animal Feed
Historically, bird feeding was the primary outlet for LA CHANVRIÈRE’s hemp seeds, used in mixtures with other seeds to feed birds in the wild or in cages. Hemp seeds are valued for their protein, amino acid, and vitamin content.
Today, the fishing market has become a significant outlet, as hemp seed is an excellent bait for fish, especially carp.
LA CHANVRIÈRE’s hemp seeds are recognized for:
- The quality and consistency of the batches
- Compliance with European regulations through the use of certified seeds
- The ability to make regular deliveries throughout the year
LA CHANVRIÈRE markets more than a third of the hemp seeds sold in Europe, making it the natural reference supplier.
